Hello All,

I'm an active and licensed physical therapist in rural NE. I'm currently enrolled in an orthopaedic manual physical therapy residency program. As part of this program, one requirement is to shadow a MSK radiologist for 8 hours. The purpose of this shadowing is to gain a better appreciation for all that is involved in the interpretation of reading conventional radiographs, CT, MRI, etc, as and how what is interpreted may, or may not, affect how I, as a physical therapist, may or may not treat patients.

I'm asking if anyone knows a MSK radiologist that would be willing to allow me to observe for a day and be able to ask a few questions. I'm looking for someone, anyone, from Denver, Greeley, Fort Collins, Cheyenne, Rapid City, or near these areas that would allow this. I'm at a critical access hospital and have not had luck with the radiologists who interpret our images in the area.

Please PM me if you are able to assist. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Bump....anybody? Anybody? No worries if not. I really respect what you guys and gals do; the more I read, the more I realize what I don't know but have appreciated clinically correlating what the DI shows to patient presentation.

I'm a physical therapist turned radiologist. I would recommend calling up a local university hospital. Most MSK divisions would be more than happy to accommodate a shadowing PT.

i would get in touch with the administrative section of the radiology dept in your local hospital.
