I am working at this health care facility as a pharmacist and I just noticed for the past 2 pay periods, my PTO (pay time off) remains the same as maximum pto allowed on the clock in system even I withdrew 100 hours a month ago. Should I inform HR about this? Am I go n a get fired if I don't notify them? Actually normally I don't pay attention to how much pto I had until last month withdrawing. Please advise. What if I just leave it there or cash out all the remaining? Am I considered cheating even though it wasn't intentional ?

Is this really a question? Im being serious. Even if you never get caught, this is no different than stealing.

If the IRS gave you 10K in refund instead of 2K, are you really going to keep quiet?

If you would inform them if you were short 100 hours, why wouldn't you inform them if you are over 100 hours?

There might be a delay, give it a week or two then let them know.
