I work in research and have been published etc. so I know how it works, but I have a quick question regarding a publication because I don't really know what it counts as.
My PI gave a talk at an international conference and they invited the speakers to publish ~5pg review articles on they're talk to go more in depth etc. This is being published in a "book" and edited by Springer which I know is a well-known scientific publishing company. I know this isn't in a journal (at least I don't think the conference has its own journal) but is being published nonetheless. What does this count as? And does this stuff usually end up on pubmed?
Also, side note, I'm on an abstract that was presented at 3 different conferences. When I applied I only knew about 2 of them and had no idea about the 3rd (which is this international conference from above). Is there anyway to update schools about it in a secondary? I know its not a big deal but I would like to include it somehow if possible
