Hello all,

Quick question for you regarding publications and what med schools would be interested in hearing about. Let’s say as a result of some research you have a few co-authorships on scientific papers, but have also been listed in the acknowledgement section of many others. Would you all include / list the papers in which you were acknowledged in your AMCAS activities section (making a clear distinction between the papers in which you were acknowledged and those on which you were an author)? What do you think? Is an acknowledgement in a paper worth highlighting, or should it just be left at the very end of the paper in the most inferior of sections which no one actually reads? Thanks for your thoughts!

If you're in the acknowledgment section of someone else's paper no. If your work is highlighted in a review in the beginning of a major journal (Nature, Cell, Science etc) then it's worth saying it was featured.

Don't include the acknowledgements. It sounds like you have multiple co-authored publications anyway, so there's really no advantage to including the acknowledgements.
