Hi everyone. I hope you are all doing well. I was just wondering has anyone put down the deposit for two different schools? What happens when you do? Do you have to contact the school that you no longer wish to attend?

Many people put down a deposit for one school, but decide they wish to attend another once they're accepted. I believe that some schools have multiple deposits, so if you decide not to pay the remaining deposit they automatically know, BUT I think it is common courtesy to let the school know as soon as possible so they can plan to fill their spots, etc.
Not really sure how this works though because I only put down a deposit for one school and withdrew my other applications.
Well right now I'm not sure which school I would like to go to (there's two that I got accepted to). If I put down the full deposit for both (I don't think there's multiple deposits), what would I do after I made my decision?
Once you make your decision, make sure you call the school to let them give your spot to another candidate. Technically, you do not have to, but just as a courtesy so that the other student will not have to wait longer and have some time to prepare!
But, if the deposit deadlines overlap, you only need to put a deposit down for the one school you like better. Then you would be saving money.
Pretty much what the above poster mentioned. I was accepted to multiple schools, but unfortunately I had to interview over a course of 3 months. I had put down a $1000 nonrefundable deposit for School "A". Later, I was accepted into the first school of my choice school "B", to which I contacted School "A", and let them know I would not be attending their school any longer. We wished eachother the best and that was that. I am out of $1000 but hey, nothing I can do about that.
