Hi I am planning to apply this coming cycle. Everyone suggests to apply earliest possible. What are the minimum things to include to submit application (to get application rolling)?

Some people say you can submit DAT score after you complete the application.
What about personal statement, letter of recommendation?

One more question. Is a microbiology course required? (or optional) If yes, I need to take an upper level microbiology course before I graduate.

Thanks.. This is my first post🙂

Microbiology is required for some schools...

The minimum to e-submit your application is:

Biographic info
Parent and Family Info
Background Info
High School Info
College Courses/Transcripts
Coursework
Professional/Extra curriculars (not required to submit, but once you submit you can't make changes)
Personal Statement
Release Statements

DATs will be sent directly to the AADSAS application once you take it (could take a couple of weeks to be received). LORs will be sent to AADSAS once your writer submits the forms. Both of these will be sent to your schools even after you submitted your application (may take a couple of weeks). You can also add/ remove schools to receive the application after you submit it (must include atleast 1 school initially).

You pretty much need to have everything to submit. Yes, you can send DAT scores later, but a lot of schools won't consider your application without them. The only thing to send later are the LORs, but don't wait. Again, most schools will send you a letter upon receiving your application from AADSAS telling you what they need from you (secondary app, fee, LORs) and most say they won't review your app until it is complete.

Each school has it's own prerequisites. Some have a lot and others only a few. Make sure they are doable for you before sending your app or you will be wasting your money. Example: Some schools won't accept community college classes as prereq's, others won't accept AP scores in place of prereq classes, etc. Some things can be deal breakers when choosing schools.

It can take AADSAS up to 4 weeks to verify your transcripts (has to happen before you submit) depending on how busy they are. DAT scores can also take about that long to be sent to schools. If you take your DAT before June 1 everything will be ready around the same time. If you think you will want to retake the DAT, you would want to take it ASAP because you can only retake after 90 days.

Will it still be "early" if everything is done by like June 25th?

Yes if AADSAS has verified your transcripts, accepted your LORs and DATs by June 25th that's relatively early.
