15% of 80 is 4 and add that to 80 to get 84. 10 percent of that is 8.4 and add that to the 84 and you get 92.4. So what percent is 80 is 92.4 is the new question? You should know that 8/9 is 87.5%. However, the ratio is greater than 8/9 so therefore the answer has to be less than 87.5%. Without using a calculator, you could eliminate all the wrong answers and find the right one.

Maybe when they considered 10% they did 10% of 80 and not 92. Then they'd be adding 92+8 to get 100. Then that would be 20 increase over 80 which is 25%.However in test the answer is 25 and I don't know why 25????
15% of 80 is 12 so that's 92 right away. Another 10% is 9.2 so that's 101.2.
So 101.2-80 = 21.2 and that's somewhere around 26-27%. Actual answer 26.5%.
Provided I understood what this problem was asking...
Edit:

But the problem should be more clear and say 10% of the original price.

So sorry!! the correct answer is 26.5 and not 25. Sorry !! This might change the whole calculation, but still What I calculated is 23.5.
