Quality Residency?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i'd really like to help you but i'm not sure anyone here has enough experience with residency placements to give you good advice. perhaps you should seek help in one of the graduate medical forums?

good luck,
aaron

Depending on what residency you want to go into, it's probably not that difficult to get in provided you did alright in your medical school and on boards. If you want to do interventional cardiology, you need to get into an academic Internal Medicine program first, which is very easy. The more difficult part would be getting into a cardiology fellowship, and that depends highly on your cumulative profile plus your performance as an IM resident.

Do good programs want candidates with that kind of profile?
