If i was to purchase a first 2012 now (May) as opposed to when it first came out like around Jan 2012, would they have fixed the mistakes that they have found currently and be up to date with the errors automatically corrected in the book, or will i be buying the same book word to word as the Jan 2012 one where i have to print out the errata and make the corrections myself?

Do they ever reprint the same editions with the corrections through out the year, if so when?

This is an interesting question. And I am not 100% certain, but I am pretty sure they never correct the Errata in the printed book for that year. They try to make the changes for the following year.

If they try to fix the errata the following year, then they do a horrible job of it, because every year they have pages and pages of errors. It makes no sense to me how a book that is revamped each year can't tackle the most fundamental problem of all, fix your damn errors! If the only change they made with the 2013 version was to simply fix their errors and nothing else, I think everyone would be very happy. How can the book that is supposed to be the best in the business continue to put forth a product with so many mistakes? I realize somethings may change, but most of the basic things we're learning are pretty well set. Grave's disease this year is the same as it was last year.

You need to print errata and correct them yourself

no

Keep in mind that they stop posting errata after a certain point for older versions, and the errors in the new edition are also correcting errors in the older editions because of recent information, and you won't know about these errors otherwise if you do not upgrade to the latest First Aid edition and check the latest errata (like quinidine as a P450 inhibitor)
