what does 1/3 mean on "breaking down the MCAT" by SN2ed mean?

Did you even read his post? It means doing every third passage and every third discrete from the end-of-the-chapter questions.

Discretes are questions that are not associated with a passage. Just read SN2ed's posts. He has a FAQ that explains most of these things pretty thoroughly.
