So, I'm just a lowly EM resident. But I had a random thought pop into my mind the other day when ordering an MRI on my trauma block. If you got an erection during an MRI of the pelvis/hip area, would you get motion artifact? This is assuming you don't readjust, but only that one part moves. It's been a few years since I've studies the physics of MRI and I know it's slower than CT, but can't remember if it actually "cuts" slices like with the magnetic gradient, or it senses the slices through the gradient slowly.
