I'm not clear on what your question is... are you asking which letters to send, if it's okay to send more than the committee letter, or something else?

No. My committee letter included 5 LOR from professors, PI, etc.

I also included an additional MD that I've come to know very well over the past year.

I have 6 letters total, but only two entries.

You sent all of your letters to every school?

Two of my three letter-writers are not responding to any of my e-mails!!! One of them is my research mentor! What should I do? I'm so disheartened, I don't even feel like working on my app. It's stressing me out and it just keeps spinning around in my head. Like, my head is swimming with worry about these letters!

Can anyone else comment on this?

I just received SUNY Downstate's secondary and they seem to only want a committee letter or 2 other letters. In the secondary I just clicked the option for committee, but still selected that Downstate receive all letters when I filled out the AMCAS app.

Should I just leave it be because I only selected the committee in the secondary, or should I call them?

Found this on their website:

" Please do not submit more than the specified number of recommendation letters, as this will delay the processing of your application. All letters must be submitted through AMCAS Letters. If you are submitting a packet of letters (e.g., Committee Letter or Letter Packet), we accept all the letters included in the packet."

Since I don't think you can delete letter assignments at this point, I don't think there is anything to be done.

All the more reason for everyone to look up each school's policies regarding LORs before making those assignments.

It's going to delay your application at some schools. What's done is done. The best you can do is give schools a call and see what can be done. I don't know what more you want from us.

I doubt it's going to make you "look bad" but then again I'm guessing the vast majority of applicants would know how to follow simple directions about sending letters.
