I have a question about the LOR section of the application process, how does the LOR appear on PTCAS (I'm applying this summer) because I basically said to the people writing my letters of recommendation that the application will email them and then they can input my LOR. I also have a question about hour verification, do we bring a paper to the clinics we worked at and ask them for a verification? or is there a specific area in the application that will verify my hours. Thanks!

so you are applying for fall of 2015 admission? You won't be able to send those documents out for verification until next summer when applications for the cycle opens up...so I would just keep a paper document with signatures to keep track until then

Yes it is emailed as soon as you designate the individual as a writer of the LOR. What I would recommend you do is go ahead and set up a PTCAS account and get familiar with the website. Even though you wont be able to send any emails to the people you can still get a sense of how the process works. As for observation hours, I personally kept track of them on an excel ss. Be sure you know the address, phone number, and email of the PT you observed. Observation hours can be either verified by paper or electronically. Should you choose electronic, it is very similar to LOR procedure, completely based on email. Just remember that PTCAS will not store ANY information you enter unless you pay the fee and actually submit applications to programs. Hope this helps, good luck next year (submit as early as possible!)
