I am planning to apply to med schools next summer (2013) with an MCAT score from 2012..

If I've submitted my application and then decide to re-take the MCAT (e.g. in July), am I required to submit the new score? Is it sent automatically? or can I decide not to send it in if I don't score as well as I had hoped..?

Thanks for all your input!

If you apply to AMCAS schools, the new score will be sent to the schools on your application list automatically.

Yea it will automatically be reported. Definitely do NOT re-take it unless you are confident you can score higher.

Thanks for the input everyone!!
