I remember seeing a thread a while back about the various Chicago programs (reputations, resident's attitudes, etc.) that I would love to get my hands on but I can't seem to find. Anyone know where I could find this or similar info?

I've been looking into programs in Chicago and I've been getting pretty poor reviews of the 3 yr programs there (keep in mind that the people I'm getting this from are from 4 yr programs and are not from the area). I just wanted some more info on them and I'm not sure where to get it.

Thanks.

I interviewed at Northwestern, Cook, and UChicago. Personally, I thought that all 3 were excellent programs even though they are all very different. I ranked UChicago #1 b/c it was 3 yrs, had the sickest patients, does no floor months, has 5 ICU months during internship, and has mandatory flight during all of the EM-2 year. With training like this, why do you need a 4th year??? Plus, UChicago has a very strong national reputation in EM and in Medicine in general.
