I just graduated with a degree in Biochemistry and during my last year of undergrad I decided to take Human Physiology (not required for my major) as P/NP since I heard it was a good class to prep for studying for the MCAT. I took 20 units total that quarter (which was an overload) but wanted to take physiology that quarter since it was the only time the class was offered. I received a NP but did well in my other classes. My question is, should I retake physiology at a community college? Could a NP for physiology be part of the reason medical schools won't accept me? Essentially, what is the weight that this NP will hold?

It won't affect your GPA, but whether it will weigh against you will depend on the rest of your academic record: grades in other upper-level science that term, whether you have other P/NP classes and how you did, overall GPA/BCPM GPA, as well as how busy you were with non-academics, etc. At the least, I think your transcript may undergo a close inspection. At the best, it won't cause much concern because your numbers are otherwise excellent and you'll be given the benefit of the doubt.
