So regarding sgpa, when you retake a class do they factor the credits and gpa points of both attempts, or do they average them so only 1 "set" of information goes in?

For instance, I took Orgo 2 (4 credits) and got a D+(5.2 gpa points), but retook and got a B+(13.2). When calculating sgpa, is that considered 8 credits and 18.2 gpa points, or do they average them both so its only 4 credits of 9.1 gpa points?
