question about shadowing..

I was just wondering in general, how long do most people shadow a doctor for? I'm not exactly familiar with the shadowing procedure so if anybody has any advice they would like to give I would be much appreciative!

I shadowed once a week for a month total. I asked her to write a letter at the end. I wouldn't ask for a LOR before the first few times you have shadowed. Try to say more than a few hours if possible so you really get a better feel for their day. I actually had a really good time.

There are no "set" hours when it comes to shadowing. Instead, focus on shadowing as much hours as it takes for you to get a feel of what a podiatrist does, and whether or not if you can see yourself doing it as a career.

P.S. - I shadowed one day, for eight hours.
