When will the 2013-2014 threads start to show up? I'm working on my application to enter in Fall 2014 and am wondering when I will be able to find the threads for students applying along with me instead of last year.

Secondly, chill out. Seriously chill out. This process is stressful enough without useless stress and worrying from posts like this.

The 2012-2013 threads were created in March last year...

You can't make the threads yourself instead of just complaining? Or send a private message to the wonderful members who have been setting them up the past year or two?

Whoa, chill, dudes. No need to flame the guy for asking. It's May, AMCAS opens up soon (or is open, I don't know) and the school specific threads were up by this time last year. He's not being crazy. 🙂

But to answer your question, I would expect them to be up soon. I wouldn't expect anything to useful to come out of them though for another two or so months..

I appreciate that Fiji.. But yea, my apologies? Apparently this was offensive somehow. Just curious, but thanks for the help anyways, all.

This thread bothered me enough that I had to comment even though it is ridiculous. Firstly, those of us currently applying are not "last year" as you can't start applying for several more weeks. Secondly, chill out. Seriously chill out. This process is stressful enough without useless stress and worrying from posts like this. Go finish your personal statement and then go to the beach or something. No one likes a gunner.

Finally, as I don't want to just complain, expect 2014 treads to start popping up in the coming weeks as people start to apply for 2014. A good way to search for information yourself instead of making useless threads is to look at older threads. See what day those threads were created and then assume it will be around a similar time.

pot, meet kettle.

This is 100% correct. I have been stressing out about the process for a solid 14 months without break now. I've stressed out about wording in emails, changes to fonts, and a million other stupid things that people stress about.

While I was definitely a dick in other post, err sorry about that OP, the advice stands. It is easy to let this process run your life for the year (take a look over at most of us in the Panic thread, or any of my posts for that matter), and stressing about little things won't help.

I'm not sure that OP was stressing. Possibly just looking for community among their potential future classmates with which to weather the coming year.

I think it would be reasonable to go ahead & start creating those threads. Gettheleadout should be commended for stepping up to such a tedious task last year, but it's possible that they may not be up for it this year.

Whenever somebody wants to do it. gettheleadout was so kind enough to take initiative to do it last year and other sdn members took that upon themselves to constantly maintain them every year. Remember, this was a courtesy extended by individuals who did not have to create or maintain them, but rather a generosity given through time and effort by awesome SDNers. Don't take it for granted and use the resources already provided in the non-specific school related threads (the official ____ threads that you can find students applying in the same year as you).

If you really want to access to school specific resources, just use this year's threads to ask your questions or look for secondary prompts or whatever. It'll probably go up soon if at all and you'll have plenty of time to worry about them later. No need to jump the gun and start worrying as soon as you can. And if you really want to worry as soon as possible, then you create them.

No offense taken, drscholls. We are all super stressed and competitive. But yes, advice received, I may open up a couple threads for the schools I am interested in when I get some free time!
