I need to have my German medical school transcript translated into English and then sent to ecfmg for certification. I have 2 questions: (1) how should I ask my German university to provide me with a transcript in English--will they do that for me?, (2) will the transcript have grades on it? I would like to know if there are grades on it because there was one failed course that I remediated by passing an oral exam.

I'm an American who attended medical school in NRW. A response will be very much appreciated.

Can you tell me which specialties are less competetive and which medical universities' hospitals are easier to get into them?

Have you gone through the process already? Generally, the Ausland Amt would be able to direct you, or even do the translation themselves, depending on what they're set up for.

Tell me how it goes because I'll be going back to the US in a few years and would like to know what to expect of the process.

Generally speaking, I think the transcripts do have grades on them. In the case of my gf, when she applied for work in the US and back in Germany, her grades were shown (straight A's or whatever number is an A).
