At what level of knowledge is the Combat Casualty Care Course? Would an MS2 be able to keep up with the material or do you need a firmer clinical background?

They taught us ATLS during C4 so I am not sure why you would need it before hand.
Sorry, my mistake, I'd forgotten that ...
I did "Bushmaster" through USUHS, which is equivalent to C4, except we did our ATLS class before going to Texas for the field portion.
DeadCactus is National Guard. C4 time is either medical school vacation/elective time or it's trying to get the time off from a civilian internship program. The latter might be a challenge. This provides a nice break during internship and they aren't going to let you go twice. Any reason for the hurry?

DC- Did your chain of command give you a thumbs up on this course? I'm thinking of approaching mine but am curious about funding issues...
