Hello,

This is a little concern that I have had for a while now. As I am approaching more towards obtaining my bachelors in biology, I am getting more worried about the non-science courses in which I did poorly. Courses like theater, history, philosophy have harmed my undergrad GPA. I have gotten C's in all of those courses. On the other hand, I was on top of my science courses. However my overall GPA doesn't look very appealing because of those core classes.

My question is, when medical schools ask for the science GPA, do they also count in those classes? Is there any science gpa calculator that is similar to the one used by medical schools?

Your inputs would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

History, etc are not part of your science GPA. Did you do well in any of your liberal arts curriculum? I'm obviously not on an admissions committee, but that stuff is important given the emphasis on humanism in medicine.
