Hello All,

I have a basic question regarding MCAT biology preparation.

How much stress should one give on memorizing bones and muscles in human body . I believe MCAT is more of a concept based test i.e; it tests how well one understands physiology and other general concepts related to medicine , so i want to know how much time should I spend on skeleton and muscular system.

Thanks in Advance.

Probably not at all. I think you're right, what you SHOULD know are things like how the muscle works (myosin, actin, sarcomeres etc) and how bone forms (osteons, osteoblasts, osteoclasts, etc).
If you took anatomy already, I think you'd be fine without reviewing it.

If you're unlucky, you'll have 1 single question that pertains to anatomy.

I'm wondering the same thing. Examkrackers has about four chapters on anatomy related subjects and AAMC's MCAT topic guide shows anatomy as well. My concern is that my Bio I & II do not cover anatomy and I really don't want to take an anatomy class prior to the MCAT due to timing issues.

I'll review these in EK and TPR and hopefully have enough background. Unless somebody has experienced this and thinks these won't be sufficient resources?
