I have finished my OTCAS application and already sent them to the school choices that require the CAS system. I have 1 pre-req (Intro to Biology & lab) that I will be re-taking next semester due to a C my freshman year. My pre-req GPA is pretty solid with mostly A's and a few B's for every other course. My questions is - will it help that I noted on my "courses planned" that I will be re-taking it, or will it hurt me even though they will see I want to make a higher grade in the class?

Intro Bio or one of the A & P classes? if it is in the fall, and you are applying to schools that look at their apps in the spring, maybe, maybe not. Maybe try emailing the schools and asking.

No, I have already taken all A&P classes. I just thought it would look better if I took the Biology 101 class again since I made a C. I will try emailing the schools. Thank you!

Definitely put it in the "courses planned" section if you are planning on retaking it. It was my understanding when I applied last year that I list all courses I planned to take before I graduated, regardless of whether they were relevant to OT. They will likely take note of your plans to re-take the low grade, which is more pleasing to admissions than just settling for a C. Good luck!
