Hi,
I got a question as I go into my senior year of college. I'm looking into applying to PT school in the next coming years. I attend Penn state with a cum of a 3.4 but my pre- gpa is terrible so far. I got a B in anatomy and an A- in physiology. However, I got to retake Chem 1 and Stats due to getting C+. My extra curricular activities are more than average with having 400+ observations hours and 30+ hours of watching surgery such as knee replacements etc. Plus I have a 360 hour internship with my major working with elderly people, studied abroad, and also have more than enough clubs at school. Am I okay as long as I get my pre-req gpa on the right track? I still have my gre to take as well.

Thanks

Are you observation hours in more than one setting?

Different schools have different philosophies on how to pick their applicants. Some are hardliners on the GPA. Others not as much. I'm assuming you're going to be applying to several schools. You're overall GPA is good, and you're other stats look good. Write a good essay, apply to 4-6 schools (or more), and I'm sure you'll get some interviews. Good luck.
