Hey all, I plan on starting my studying for the dat, and I had a question about which book to buy that covers all the sections of the DAT. I know this won't be enough, so ill be looking into getting the other materials (achiever, chads videos, destroyer, cliffs, etc...).

1. I was curious as to what advantages the kaplan blue book may have over the barron's book, and vice versa. From what i've seen the kaplan blue book is good for bio, but I haven't heard much else. As far as barron's goes...I haven't seen anyone talk much of it, but I have seen it being used in some users DAT breakdown and those users had yielded great scores. I also haven't heard anything about the princeton review book...but if any of you have any input on that, that would be great.

Also, money is somewhat of an issue, if i'm planning on buying the other materials such as destroyer and achiever, I do not want to buy BOTH kaplan and barrons.

Thank you all in advance.

i haven't used it once for anything except for QR (my math is not great so i need as much exposure as possible).. If you get chad's for ochem and gchem that will be enough..honestly i don't even know if KBB is worth it at all. I got Barrons AP bio to supplement cliffs (i might read a few chapters form KBB if I will feel i will be missing something).

Whenever people talk about Barron's, they're talking about Barron's AP bio. I believe that the actual "Barron's DAT" isn't very good for anything other than PAT practice (although I can't verify this).

I bought KBB but found it to be a waste of money. I only went through the bio portion of it, and even that part was incredibly boring to read. I quickly cast the rest of it aside, as I got my GC/OC prep from Chad and my PAT prep from Crack the PAT.

I wouldn't buy either book, honestly. Check the links in my signature.
