Hey everyone!

Check out this cool new medical textbook review site my friends and i have been working on. What do you think of it?

nice site, 👍 the only thing that should be added is a reccomended section per subject and contintue to add more books, but over all it looks to be well done

can you expand on what you mean by "recommended section by subject" a bit more.

have a section dedicated under the per subject areas of those that are most highly recommended by med students. So let's say I click Anatomy link, somewhere in this new page, have another link that when clicked brings up a smaller list of books I.e. anatomy, Chung's Board review book. that are the books that come most highly recommended. That way as the list expands it will be easy to pick out the ones that are more likely to be useful and high yield.

I like it.

It is concise.

:luck:

Hernandez,

will add that once there are a lot more books in the database. Right now there are about 70 and they are being sorted by the grade they receive (so I think that is sort of there already in concept), but will add the feature you suggested in the future.

thanks

Great site, just keep adding some books!

I'm sure I'll be able to think of more later (once I start school), but the only one I can think of now that wasn't on the list is Netter's Anatomy!

G'luck

Netter is in there:

http://www.gotmedbooks.com/findbook...m=84&limitnum=0&searchtype=browse&category=10

All the LWW books that you mentioned are already in and are being reviewed currently. We are working with Elsevier (owns Saunders) currently to try to get Goljan in there already.

Will add the other stuff you mentioned on our list.

I guess the next question is - how do I recruit you to come review with us???

Send me a pm (click my user name), and fill me in on the details. I would be glad to lend a hand on some reviews.

I think it would be nice to have a section in each review for "user-opinions" where students visiting the site can rate the books and give a little blurb on them. This increases the sample size and would, in my opinion, make the reviews more helpful.

site is great. I just added it to my favorites. How about a section of books not to buy. Books that people found to be useless and a waste of money. I bet a lot of people would appreciate those links just as much!

The rating feature coming very soon ( I only have so much money to spend on programming ), but this feature is on my high priority list.

There is a way to know what to avoid - those are the books rated C. That is the lowest grade. Will add the grading scheme next week so that this is clear.

Thanks for suggestions, please keep them coming. Hernandez, will send you details. Anyone else that wants to join the effort, please let me know.
