Hello everybody. I opened my pharmcas literally on June 4 and I am really nervous of starting it! I think I have "okay" stats/experience, however I feel like getting in a pharm school is so competitive that it driving me crazy!

Anyways, so far my issue is starting my personal essay. Any tips? I feel like I'm over stressing something that is supposed to be simple 😕

Well, I stayed up all night on June 4th and e-submitted my pharmcas the night it opened because I am strange like that, but I started my personal essay about 2 weeks ahead of time and my only advice to you is to start it early and get at least 2 people to proof read your paper. I asked my old college English teacher to help me with mine and she did WONDERS to my grammar, sentence structure, etc. Make it personal and make sure that you don't use pity sentences or look for excuses about anything (there is a section under special circumstances for that) and try to match the topic/prompt the best you can! It's really not that bad writing it, but if you start to feel stumped or have writers block, stop and pick it up the next the next day and you should feel much better.

I want to know how do I do my letters of recommendation because I want to go on head and do them as soon as possible. The only thing I'm missing is my grades because I owe my school money and they won't let me view my transcript. I already did my personal statement and I think it is good, just to need to make a minor change in a reason why I'm a good candidate for pharmacy school. Please help me!!:scared::scared:

You write down the names and email addresses of the people who agreed to write you a LoR. PharmCAS will send them an email with specific instructions on how to upload their LoR. It will probably be a good idea to let them know about this email and ask them to keep their eyes open. GL!

What is the consensus on the "special circumstances" portion? The examples they listed pertain to me but, I could only write a few sentences. Should I write a separate essay or will a short paragraph suffice?
