Hi SDN, I could really use your help right about now. I currently attend a community college, due to various reasons. A prominent reason as to why I am at a CC is due to a job relocation that happened last year. I was going to go to an instate school where I previously lived, but then got relocated to NC. Then my Mother got sick, and etc.

Anyways, I would really like to transfer to a university my sophomore year. I had a dismal high school GPA of 3.3 but coming in with 12 AP credits, would it be possible/should I transfer to NCSU next fall? Or should I stay at the CC and transfer Junior year where I have a good chance at getting into Chapel Hill?

Thanks, I appreciate it.

Is it possible? Sure. Only you can decide if you should or not. Either way it won't really affect your admissions into med school unless you end up transferring to a state college and do very poorly.
