Hi guys, i just have a couple questions:

Q1. During recovery from oxygen debt, which of the following does not occur?
A. glucose is converted to pyruvate
B pruvate is converted to lactate
C lactate is transported to the liver
D lactate is converted to pyruvate
E oxaloacetic acid is converted to citric acid

Q2. Which of Mendels laws describes the behavior of genes on nonhomologous chromoromes?
A Law of Segregation
B Law of independent assortment
C None of the above

I've bolded the answers I think are right. Thanks.🙂

Q1. I think the answer is B - Pyruvate is convertated to lactate - This will only happen absence of O2 which is not the case here -- recovering from O2 debt.

Q2. I think the answer is B - Law of independent assortment.
Basically Q implies dihybrid cross (nonhomologus chromosomes) and ask how it will assort. Nonhomologus chromosomes assort independently. Law of segregation explain how trait passes from generation to generation. Principle of allele formation and fertlization. Not the following has anything to do with the question here. Mendel came to Law of Independent assortment after he explained monohybrid cross and formulated Law of segregation.
