I am just about done with the KCUMB secondary, and want to get it into the mail this evening. The last question about:

"List any other information you believe is pertinent to your application such as, but not limited to, motivation for applying to KCUMB, qualities you have to offer, uniqueness, leadership roles, life experiences, etc."

Do you know if they want an essay for this, or just bullet points? They already had an earlier section about leadership roles (extracurricular/offices held), so why would they want it again? I am leaning towards bullet points since they don't really offer much room for an essay and don't specifically say write an essay like the other supplementals that I have finished.

I typed in an essay that took up the provided space.

I definitely wrote an essay, on a separate sheet I believe. But I was able to adapt an essay that was already written for other apps. I think an essay would be best. I know that probably means you'll have to give it more time (maybe it doesnt go out tonight) but the adcoms know that too. Thats why I think they'd look more favorably upon the effort it takes to write a well formed, consice essay vs bullet points of your life. Too impersonal/cold/business-like. This whole process is about trying to get to know you better as a person. Do whatever it takes for them to be satisfied that you are a qualified applicant and an awsome person, not just a list of ECs. Just my opinion tho.

I typed an essay less than 500 words, and I attached it to the application. I wouldn't recommend the bullet points.

If you covered it elsewhere, then you covered it. Be careful not to say too much, but be mindful that a good well rounded applicant (ie, one they are looking for) should have no shortage of relevant things to say about their qualifications and motivations. Think of this: if you have covered everything, then what more will you have to say if you get interviewed?

I took it literally and made a bullet list of stuff (typed and attached).
