Individuals that are Plastic Surgeon's, or matched up in PS, would you consider yourself the brightest from your peers in medical school? Of course you have to be at the top, but how much studying did you usually do while in medical school OR would you consider yourself with a photographic memory, just reading it once, and completely absorbing the material.

For most people it's probably neither. You'll meet a few people in med school who just learn things without working. You'll meet a few people who are just naturally gifted. Most people work pretty hard, most of the time. People who match plastics often have a combination of drive, intelligence, and a natural affinity for "playing the game". No, we're not smarter or better, we usually just figured out what we wanted and found a way to get it.
