Hey, I just wanted clarify that the maximum number of characters your personal statement could be is 5300?

And I also wanted to know does this include spaces? Because I'm typing my PS in MS Word right now, and so far if you don't count the spaces its 2,880, but if you do count the spaces its 3,529. Which one do we go off of when we type it? Thanks alot!!!

Spaces count as 1, hard returns count as 2.

Yeah, you coun't the spaces, so so far your essay is 3,529 characters.

are you people hitting [RETURN] once or twice to start a new paragraph? the reason i'm asking is because i literally need those 4 extra characters or whatever. when you print it out, hitting return once seems to give you one line break, and hitting return twice gives you 2. which way are yall doing it?

You shouldn't really need that many characters - try cutting out some extraneous stuff if you are worried about 2-4 spaces. Anyways, I hit [return] twice for my paragraphs.
