I realize that this topic has been discussed a lot, but I was unable to find the answer I needed.

My junior year I had not considered medical school. I took OChem I online because I couldn't fit the lecture into my schedule - I still had an in-class lab portion. The next semester I took the regular OChem II lecture and lab.

I didn't realize that schools will reject online courses. Do I need to re-take O Chem I as a regular lecture course? I was hoping to apply next cycle, so I'd have to squeeze it in before then. I can only imagine the look on my professor's face.

Thanks.

request a copy of your transcript. most likely the entries for Orgo I and II will be identical, in which case you have nothing to worry about.

Med schools frown on online courses when taken from, say, Capella or Phoenix. The online version of your school's course should be ok, esp. since you had an actual lab.

Hey thanks for the reply. I'll order a transcript.

Do you think directly asking each program I'm interested in about this would be helpful?

Again, thanks.
