Quick retake class question

I am a non science major student and I am taking only the pre-reqs for DO medical school. I earned a 4.0 in chem 1 but I am at the border line of a 3.0/3.5 for chem 2. If I earn a 3.0 should I take it over the summer. I know I can get a 4.0 in it because I had one bad test this semester due family emergency and understand the concepts well.

No.

There's no point in retaking a B grade, unless maybe you have nothing but B grades in the pre-reqs. This early on in the pre-reqs there's no point in retaking it.

My adviser said to retake only "C" classes, don't waste time with classes you got a "B" in. What's your cumulative right now?
