So I go to a state college in New Jersey (Montclair State University) and they offer an Eight Year Combined BS/MD Program with NJMS (New Jersey Medical School). You first do four years at Montclair and then you go straight into NJMS. In three years when I start applying to Medical School I'll definitely be interested in going to the mentioned school, NJMS. They have a good curriculum, it's cheap and it's close to home. Problem is I wasn't accepted into this eight year program...

My question is, would they still accept me at NJMS even If I didn't complete this program ?? Or would they just reject me immediately seeing as I didn't do this 'specific' eight year program ??

Any help would be appreciated. 😎

You will be treated as a normal applicant (maybe a little advantage due to the school's affiliation) like everyone else. Also if you are from New Jersey you will get the benefits of applying as an in-state student. However, you will not be guaranteed automatic admission to the school like the people that enrolled in the 8 year program.

Hope this helps.
