When they ask you for number of credits, do they want the number of units transferred, or the number of units of the class equivalent to the AP exam?

Example:
I took AP Biology, which is listed as 8 units transferred. But the equivalent course, BIS 10, is only 4 units. 😕

I had the same issues when I applied, and what I did (and may or may not be right but I didn't have any problems doing it this way) was list all the courses I had AP credit for under classes I took my first quarter along with the actual courses I took at the actual college at that time. Put them in as the class that they transfer to your school as (how they show up on your transcript) and under grade received there is an AP option, which keeps it from being part of your GPA. So in your example list it as BIS 10 and 4 units.

Hmm, okay. Thanks!

I did the exact same as Badcats, just as a second voice

I also have an AP related question.

I took several AP tests in high school, but ended up going into a college program that didn't accept APs. I transferred to another school in Fall 2009, but didn't give them my scores until the spring (didn't need the APs for pre-reqs or anything), so they show up under Spring 2010 on my transcript with "Adv Cr" for a bunch of classes.

I'm doing TMDSAS and it says to do your classes as they appear on the transcript, but it sort of makes it look like I took 41 hours in Spring 2010. Someone please tell me I'm doing this right. 🙂
