I'm currently deciding on these two schools. QU is an MD school. It's brand new with only 2 classes ahead of me. They have good facilities and seemingly good rotation sites - but there's no feedback on those yet. The 1st and 2nd year students seem to be happy. I'm an urban-kind of person though, so it being in Hamden is slightly disappointing.
The other school is Touro and is also kind of new, but they at least have match results - which are pretty decent -https://tourocom.touro.edu/academics/do-program/the-match/match-results/ It's in NYC, which is a strong, strong factor in me wanting to go here. As far as I know, their primary rotation site is Staten Island University Medical Center, which is relatively decent as well. I loved interview day/the staff/the overall flow of 1st and 2nd years, but I'm worried about how it might affect my residency options.
I understand USMLE/COMLEX is a huge factor for residency, but so is research, rotations, and those two letters at the end of your name. Research is an unknown factor for me at Quinnipiac, and I would expect it'd be easier to find something in NYC.
As of right now, all I know is that I have no interest in surgery.
Any advice? Thanks for the help!
