I am debating on whether I should quit my CNA job after two months. I am lucky to be on good terms with the manager as I am friends with her, and know she will be supportive with whatever I choose to do. The problem is that since starting this job full-time, I have felt that I have plateaued and am not getting anything new out of the experience, yet have no energy to shadow/volunteer/write essays on the side, which is really what I would rather be doing. My concern, however, is that I am lacking on clinical experience (100 hours volunteer a few years ago), and if I do quit the job I was wondering if it would still be okay to put it on my application? I've accumulated 300+ hours and can still get a good LOR from my supervisor. Will medical schools not take it seriously since I only worked there a few months? Would it look better to stick with the job or do more shadowing/volunteering? My numbers are competitive so at least I have that, but am feeling some serious cognitive dissonance about what I should do. Thanks for the help.

Is there a way that you can drop to part time for 'longevity' sake of the activity?

However, if you are competitive otherwise, I would just chill and enjoy life, work hard on those secondaries/applications and profit.
FWIW- I feel the exact same with my two entry-level clinical jobs... there is only so much that we get to see at the level we are on!

EDIT: In terms of 'hours' be able to convey what your experiences have given you and what you have learned from them versus approaching it from a standpoint like "I have to have 500 hours to apply."
