are there any schools that don't require an interview in this day in age?

i know the dentist i shadow now didn't need an interview, but then again it was 20 yrs ago.

also, (not related to dentistry), my friend is @ cambridge for his MBA, and he didn't need an interview! 😱

Keep in mind, if you voluntarily go to visit them, they do note that in your application file. It could not hurt, and probably helps! Just make sure to set up an official visit through their office.

Amen! Not that I don't like going to dental schools and examining their programs, but the expenses associated with travel add up in a hurry.

marquette does now require interviews. i know their website isn't updated, but my letter from them says that they are now requiring interviews (and i had to go on one a few weeks ago).

it might seem great for pre-dents that some schools dont require interviews from a monetary point of view... However, now that i am in d-school i really dont like the idea.. theres lots of weirdos and freaks out there, the interview is CRUCIAL to screen potentially terrible dentists out, some people weren't meant to be a caring, compassionate health care provider.. thats my 2 cents..

NYU had this weird thing this year where they accepted some students without interviews. Sorry. I can't find the SDN thread that discussed it. I have to rush off to a flight. If you are still interested, PM me. I'll answer when I get back from Columbia on Friday.
