All this medical terminology is Greek to me. 😱
 See I can't say that. Because if it was Greek then I have no excuse for not knowing it.

Yeah my friends give me crap about that so I have to say, "That's like Latin to me" - seriously, they thought it was the funniest thing ever to harass me everytime I'd say that.

Cool - I didn't know you know Greek!

BTW alot of medical words come from Latin, so you might as well start learning Latin 😛

I just got emailed a link to the video of the white coat ceremony from last year. I don't think I really realized how HUGE my med school class will be til I watched them all file in. I think it's usually about 220 or maybe more.

Beary, Arsenic, Q, the poster formerly known as Cozmosis: How big are your classes?

So you've decided on UT-Houston, then! (No IU???)
I was reading through IU's website and it looks like because of my dad's income I'll have to apply for private loans to make up the difference in COA. I'm still going to wait and see what happens but I doubt I'll be able to afford IU 🙁

I know that you didn't ask me [🙄] but entering classes here are ~220.

Bummer. It's nice to carry on tradition, but even nicer to keep debt down. I imagine it would be different if IU classified you as in state 🙁

Our dog (well, my husband's dog!) is really starting to bother me.

He's a sweet creature, but very very hyper (German Shorthaired Pointer) and is typically an outside dog because he has to run from dawn to dusk. He's been inside because of the insanely cold temps, and is stressing me out with his hyperactivity and whining to go outside constantly.

This news story about the astronaut love triangle/kidnapping is absolutely hilarious.

VD - my med school class at Iowa was 170.

Awwww 🙁 I'm sorry. Are all the UT schools huge? (I say huge but I guess that's smaller than my HS class - and I'm from a small town)

Hopefully my class will have some of the eye-candy of your class 😉

man, i'm still hungry. there was nothing good in the cafeteria today. i usually bring my lunch, but we were out of stuff at home. boourns.

Thanks 🙂

How's studying going, arsenic?

studying?!?!!? i wish i could just study ana. 🙁

this new team im on delegates a lot more stuff to the 3rd year students. today i had to go talk to pathologists, call 2 different social workers, spend 30 minutes on the phone waiting for some radiology secretary so that I could prioritize one of my patients CT scans...... etc, I guess its part of the training but it really is like a full time job. i spent 9 hours in the hospital today post call and now have to study for an EKG exam this thursday, sucks. its internal medicine though, this rotation is supposed to be a bear no matter where it is. it just sucks that its gotten worse this last 2 weeks leading into finals.
