My dad is awesome. If you ever saw the movie "Patch Adams," that is just like how my dad is, minus the clown suit. He's absolutely crazy. You never know what he's going to do or say next. He dresses up like a vampire for Halloween (complete with blood dripping out of his mouth), squirts patients with water guns, and wears t-shirts with dirty jokes on them. One of them says "I have crabs" in Latin, and the picture shows a Roman statue scratching itself. I don't think I can describe the one he wore today; it's just not appropriate for this forum. :laugh:

Do you usually watch races? Actually I realized today that this race is my one year anniversary of seeing every single race. 😀

A good friend of mine missed Match Day because she was stuck at a relative's house with food poisoning after eating Wendy's chili. She couldn't even make it home to her own house since it was a 20 minute drive. 😱

That was me - I didn't leave the house because I didn't want the kids to pick anything up and give it to me. I ended up getting sick the day before anyway (find out later it was strep throat).

I thought I was the only one who gets super paranoid about getting sick before tests, interviews, etc. 😳 The only really big thing I have been sick for is Step 2 CS, and I was recovering by then. I have been lucky with that.

I guess so. deschutes stopped posting for a while with starting residency, studying for Step 3 (and new bf). There were a lot of M4s posting about residency apps and stuff but after the match it really slowed down. I hope it picks up again this year once the app cycle gets going again.
