that's terrible! if it were someone other than your dad, i'd say smack him upside the head. but i guess you shouldn't do that to a dad. i would hope that he meant something else.

my dad says stupid things like that sometimes that he really doesn't mean to come out the way they sound. whenever i get my hair done, instead of saying, "oh, your hair looks nice!" he says "whatdja do to your hair??" with that onebrow up. really makes a girl feel special 🙂

She not Pemberly! She gorgeous! Do you have a MySpace page? Most of us in here do...we are linked that way too. All but one (for GOOD reason) have pics up.

No, Myspace is one of those things that makes me feel old. I return to a campus from the Wide Blue Yonder and find out that everybody has something called a myspace page, and I don't even know what they're supposed to be for! 😕
Ana, what's the link to your page? Or anybody else, for that matter.

well i finished my phys labs at approximately 5:30am submitted them earlier on this morning, felt good to finally complete them. havent slept since wed but it was worth it.

people always mess up scentimint as well, though, so it's ok. 😀

Somehow, I have managed to learn not to let what other people say about my weight bother me. I nag myself enough about it. It's actually kinda funny, I obsess about every single bite I put in my mouth! I'm probably the only fat person who worries about it. :laugh: :laugh:

The obsessing doesn't make me stop..it just bugs the crap out of me. :laugh:

(just realized...that last line could be taken SO MANY ways) :laugh:

My students were saying that yesterday! Now I'm frantically trying to grade them (fairly!) before my deadline.

Unfortunately this is the hardest lab of the year. I've actually had to make out a spreadsheet and plug in each student's data, with highlight squares at the bottom to show me what answers each one really should have had. I can tell they were stressed out the last week of the term. Most of my students are pretty smart, but they've been making really odd mistakes -- getting the small stuff wrong. 🙁

I know what you mean. Now I can't bring myself to eat. Ugh. He even apologized but I still don't feel any better about it.

Maybe I'll go drown myself in tacos. :laugh:

This is getting me all worked up now.

This one is the BEST. My mom and I get along great now but we didn't used to. When I was 20 I had 3 heart surgeries in 7 months, long ICU stays, etc. It was from congenital heart disease that I didn't know about and had gotten really bad. Anyway, I was in college then but had periods living at home with my folks between getting discharged from the hospital but before I was able to go back to school.

My mom told me that everything that had happened from my heart was because I was fat. And one of my surgeries (which I absolutely had to do, no choice, but my mom didn't want me to do it??!!) had complications. And my mom said "It was your choice, now you have to live with the consequences." 😡 😡 😡

OK that was eight years ago. I should be over this now. 🙄 I won't rant anymore about this. Worst time in my life and I had my mom acting like it's my fault.

Myspace keeps crashing my browser, but I spent enough time there to establish that Anastasis is officially NOT chunky, and her father needs a little talking-to! And she likes Firefly -- great show! I didn't have cable when it was first on, so I'm a little unclear on the whole why-they-cancelled-it.

It was on Fox when it first came out. I didn't watch it either (I may have been in the UK when it was first on, but i don't remember). I remember the first time House came on on BBC - I was so hooked from that first episode.

I will post a better one of him soon. jlw9698 has met him,.....at the OPM conf. Both of us are in serious struggles with our weight right now.
