You need to be banned from Pre-allo to lower your B.P.

I totally agree BB! VD, Pre-Allo has done nothing but hack you off! QUIT GOING THERE. You have us! Well, you have them...I'm only here when the stupid $44/month cable connection decides it is going to go faster than extremely slow dial-up. What is with that??? 👎

I got booted off and on my wireless connection at the last hotel. It was painful.

I go to the interview threads and here and that's really it.

Nikki - that is why I don't post my AIM name. There are some weirdos out there. I think you might have found one. I got a PM from that poster as well and I just sort of gave her a quick response. I don't think she's a troll (look at her myspace - and maybe you'll see where I'm going with this .... )

Does anyone in here use Money or Quicken? Do you guys think it is worth the work?

I need to start actively tracking my finances.
I don't have that much money to use but I will probably start using it soon to keep track of spending. Preferably when I have less credit card debt 🙁

Don't use it. 😉 At least unless you are going to pay it off every month. It spirals out of control.

I think those programs are great but sometimes its a hassle to download everything into it. I think they now have automatic updates or something. I used it years ago in college. I think my hubby uses it to an extent but not sure. He takes care of the bills now and its fabulous!!! 😍 But I think they'll be shifted over to me soon since he's so busy.

Yeah they do have auto-updates now. I think I'll start on Money Basic to create a budget and get into a habit of doing it so that once I have my med loans and then an actual adult investment portfolio, I'll upgrade to the better services.

My bf lives and dies by Quicken. If I recall correctly, he doesn't like Money but I don't know why.

Care to ask him next time you talk to him? 😀

I don't have a lot of wealth management going on right now so if it includes words like stocks/CDs/etc. Just shut him down.

thanks guys, its soooooooooo nice to have it behind me now. i remember being a premed and thinking that i'd have to take step 1 one day and how FAR away that looked. even in med school, the first 2 years is always build up to step 1 and you hear profs say time after time, "this is important for boards" etc... to be done with the first step feels great. its just surreal though how fast it came and went, its this huge moment in your life with all this build up and then its just over. 😀

Now that it's over, what was a bigger deal to you? Mcat or Step 1? Maybe they are too different to answer that?

Totally agreed. The boards thing never ends though. I am in my first month of residency and can't tell you how often I hear, "you will need to know this for path boards" 🙄

You guys are all so much smarter than I was. When I was a premed I don't think I was even aware of the USMLE.
