good night!! put your socks away

Haha. Nice one. But I only had one Ambien. Doesn't cause the dancing socks phenomena.

I feel like something is stabbing me underneath my left shoulderblade. 😕 It hurts.

I used to think I didn't want to win a lot of money because it would change my life so much, but now I do.

Has anyone watched that show Windfall about the people who win the lottery?

I haven't, it looked to me like it would suck.

I wish that darn ambien would kick in so I could sleep... I took some ibuprofen too.

Have to trek to Walgreens tomorrow I guess for a new supply. 😀

I haven't ever had Ambien. Closest I ever got was when my mom loaded me up on Valium the day I found out that my best friend died in high school. It was strange.

well i'd be glad to take that $$ off your hands if you ever change your mind

When I was in college I was so convinced I was going to win the publisher's clearing house that I gave them instructions as to how to get into my dorm, and then how to get to my room once they were in the dorm.

I'm sorry to hear that Molly. 🙁

Valium is weird. I am a total insomniac and take ambien a few times a week - it has made a huge difference in my life. Ambien just knocks you out, doesn't cause that drunk feeling like valium. Though right now it is not knocking me out. (Hence I sometimes take a few, causing the dancing socks.)

so. three people stole coke secrets and tried to sell it to pepsi.

wow.
wow, that is strong on their part. I'm guessing pepsi didn't budget.
How'd they get caught?

Breakfast pizza is good. I had one yesterday morning when my meeting didn't happen. The girl had the times wrong 🙁

i'm not sure molly but i dont think babies can take hemodialysis, the pressures involved are just too high for a newborn. i'm pretty sure thats why the babies are on peritoneal. great question though, i wish i would have thought of it this afternoon! 🙂

in general though, when choosing between peritoneal vs hemodialysis in adults it all depends on the patient. if the patient lives in a rural area far away from a dialysis center, peritoneal is a great option. its also great for patients who just dont want to take out all the time to go through the hemodialysis sessions every week, peritoneal can be done at night while you sleep and then again during your lunch hour for example. thats what i remember from the lecture a year ago. some patients just cant handle that much self care though, i'm sure you know what i'm talking about since you have healthcare experience so for those hemodialysis is a given.
Funny actually yesterday one of the doctors was explaining it to me. Since the (blood) access to many infants in the NICU is really limited they usually use peritoneal dialysis since they can access the 2 arteries and one vein in the umblicical cord. Its what they need and less sticks/stress on the baby. That's a good point about the pressure too, I'll have to see what Langes says about that. (I have a neonatology handbook I borrowed from the med library to look up cases 😳 ) At least she said at their NICU they try to minimize the sticks. I felt so bad for a baby that was delivered yesterday who they couldn't get enough blood for the blood gases. They kept poking her wrist and finally was able to find the artery.
