3rd time is a charm! 🙂 Welcome to the best thread on SDN: The Random Non-MCAT thread--PART 3!

This is a place to chill and talk about anything besides the MCAT. 😎

Sometimes I have the memory of a small herring. I am looking at my tetracycline bottle and I honestly can't remember if I took it this morning or not. Since I only woke up half an hour ago, that's pretty depressing. 🙁

I'm going down to Philly tomorrow to hang out with some of my roommates from last summer

We adopted a stray cat exactly 1 year ago today so we are throwing him a birthday bash....should be a good time

Awww... sounds like fun! Any pics of the kitty?

kitty birthday parties!!

it's ok molly--you can pass me if you've got what it takes.

you peeps that missed what we talked about last night.......you really don't want to know.....trust me

okay, i'm going to make gazpacho for dinner.

and i'm gonna get index cards. they really don't help me... but i guess i'll force myself to make them work.

new york courts ruled that the state does not have to allow same sex marriages. the law would have to change in order for them to be able to get married.

so MA is the only state that allows it.

how long will it take before same sex marriage will happen do you think? ten years? fifty? never?

i'm also thinking of what to do this fall. i'm pretty sure i won't be taking classes... so what to do with my time?

i was thinking work, but i'll be leaving for a possible month in october. which can work considering the mcat scores won't be out until november.

i could always temp... easy money for an easy job

i'll most likely work with my volley ambulance corp, i don't want my certification to be in vain

when you are done cooking, decide what you are going to study today and just force yourself to get started--once you get started it won't be so painful

PS was my weakest. so I think I really want to spend majority of my time on that... the other two of course i'llwork on, but i'm not that concerned with them.

and for tests... every other day or every few days?

time is winding down and i'm trying to figure out a schedule

HELP

i will kick their arse too-who was that?

an SDNer- one that is in love with U2.

i'm not sure if outing him would be a TOS violation, so i think a description is okay.

i want to make a jumper. i love those kind of dresses

ever see you've got mail? that's how i like to dress... or audrey hepburnish... its classic.

lili--that's great that there's really only one section that you need to work on. thank god it's not verbal. You can VERY EASILY bring your score up in PS. I've found what works best with me is reading a section (like physics for example) and committing the equations to memory as I go along. Everyday review the equations you have memorized. Skim back over what you have already read to solidify concepts.

If I don't review everyday then I just end up forgetting half of what i read. Work practice problems along the way! You'll think you understand something until you actually try to do some problems.

As for practice tests--did you do all of the aamc tests for april? If not--you could start with one maybe this weekend? Just space them out evenly so you end up taking all of them. Maybe in the 2 weeks before the mcat take 7R, 8R, and 9R.

doh... i missed a HUGE sale at J Crew 🙁

🙁 🙁

PS was the hardest for me, too, lili. I wish I had some good suggestions for you but all I did was practice problems. And I kept track of the questions I got wrong in a notebook and reviewed them periodically.

i'm afraid i'm turning into the weirdo in the library. i have to walk around and read the stuff aloud. it just makes sense to me that way.

i'm thinking about getting a dry erase board, that way i can track what i get wrong, but espeically for physics it helps drawing a diagram

i used to use the disposable razors... but shaving cream annoys me. that's why i looooooooooove the intuition... its on there already!

but then again... its good to have a blade that isn't dull... i think that used to be my problem. you live and learn.

I used the Intuition for a while after my sister raved about it. I liked it, but somehow I managed to cut myself seriously more often while using it.

So it was back to the Venus for me.
