Hmmmm if you had PMd me I would have let you know how the USf site was.

USF site has small desks. Its in the LIF building on the top floor where there are small classroom desks and it is very cold so it is good to bring a jacket otherwise you'd be shivering. I never had bad proctors although others have had bad experience here.

The good test centers in the Tampa Bay region are actually at the sites that are built with specific areas which are meant only for standardized testing and those sites are usually at community colleges like the various HCC branches which give you big tables in which you can spread out and in which there are comy chairs and the proctors don't necessarily stay in the room because there are huge windows through which they can see you so they don't need to stay in the room.

I don't know anything about UF or UCF though.

It was a last minute thing...sorry I didn't think you'd be online at the time. You never responded to anything else I post after you, so I didn't think this time would be any different. 🙁 +pity+

I work about 30 - 35 hours a week. MWF 8-8 usually...but sometimes I get lucky and get off early. Like today!!! I got off at 4:30 today. Wooohooo!

so i have a question i've read that fibrates are used to treat patients with high triglyceride levels , are these drugs used in combination with statin class drugs or in isolation. Its for my research paper on CAD

Awww, thanks A! I hope I do destroy this thing. Did you get you BS or BA from Miami? I would love to go there or USF!

from what i remember you can use the 2 together but you need to be careful. i just checked my PDA and according to epocrates a statin like atorvastatin and a fibrate like Antara would give you an increased risk of rhabdomyolysis if used together and so should be avoided.

i got my BA in Miami but not from UM, I went to FIU.
Ohhh! So ya like Miami life, eh? Do ya know spanish yet? That would prob help. I plan on learning it between grad and med school. At least that is the plan. 😉

ok, thanks for the reply arsenic i've been using e-med as well as the harrinson's to get info are there any other sorces you'd recommend?

Awhitehair: where i'm from the education system is quite different currently i am taking adv physics, chem and bio with comm studies which is compulsory. its a two year course with board exams at the end of each year i wrote year 1 exams in june and am awaiting results in about 3 weeks. Last year i did a research paper on hypertension which went quite well these research papers are worth 40% of our final grade ( i got a really good percentage then and i'm hoping to this time around as well), i had so much fun with the research paper and i learnt alot as well.

dont be scared! med school is exactly that, school, so of course there are tests but at the end you're an MD! 😀 You'll be taking board exams until the day you die in medicine to recertify your license but it'll keep you sharp. man, all the docs i know that are 70+ and teaching/practicing are sharp as tacts! we had 3 of them on peds, 2 were sharp and 1 was brilliant.

in the end you have to really love it or you'll be miserable, i think thats why they make it so hard to get in with all those premed classes and then the mcat and interview trail. as much as i complain about it i would absolutely die if i couldnt finish med school, and not just because of the loans i'm in the hole for already either. 😉 😍

😍

not even when you hold down control and c at the same time? try highlighting something and then hitting those 2, then control and v to paste into word.
no. word always crashes. It sucks. This has been a problem with firefox for awhile. But it got worse. Usually its when I have a link but its happened otherwise. I really like firefox and not thrilled about opera. I really need cut and paste for my research.

i think windows is very screwy as it is. Word has issues where it doesn't shut down properly. I think I'm going to wipe my hard drive clean soon. Maybe while we're in NJ. That means I'll have to take everything with me.
