I'm a lover of many types, actually. But I can see that you don't like merlots since you said you have a sweeter taste for wine.

OK, i gotta go do some actual work for the next hour.

danon activia is a little odd...i tried it for a week or so and i just never warmed up to the taste. the commercial is fun though.

i guess it takes a while... i usually add grape nuts or granola to my yogurt... so perhaps i'll have to do it like that

ah the jersey state capitol. i've spent many summer days there... even saw a dude piss on a lightpole behind the capitol. we weird.

considering i pay 8% sales tax in my county, and even higher at school i don't see what you're yappin about.

and from what i gather, it was sales tax, not property taxes that went up. the money that is supposed to be generated is suppoed to lower property taxes

and honestly... people from new york will still shop in jersey because it is still cheaper

and cost of living anywhere in the tristate area is high. i mean HELLO... i live right next to northern NJ

Yeah but that is what they promise every year. Property taxes are mostly locally increased anyways. Alot of it is education spending and improvements. Since the state cut those, property taxes will increase. My parents have seen a $4000/yr increase over the past 10 years. (I think, it might be more, I'll have to ask them).

exactly, I want them to move, NOW. I won't ever live in the tri-state area ever again, at least expensive areas.

Don't worry, you'll get more, to the point where you'll wish they'd just leave you alone. :meanie: It seems like most schools don't screen. I mean there were days when I'd get like two or three secondaries at a time, and some schools even pressure you to get them done in a set amount of time. If anyone's applying to Duke, you have my condolences. That has to be one of the worst secondaries ever. USF's wasn't too bad, at least for straight MD. You just had to write a brief autobiography about your family.

BTW, speaking of USF, REL outed my SDN ID to the entire admissions office. 😳 :laugh:

I have good news. The Kaplan manager here liked me. He gave me the MCAT class that I want, and I get to teach every subject for the same class from start to finish instead of teaching only chemistry to several different classes. He's giving me the same pay per hour that I was getting at my old center. AND, best of all, although I got lost numerous times driving out to Kaplan from my prof's house, I did not crash her car. (Apparently, that's been done before by a previous student. 😱 ) I think today has been a pretty successful day all in all.

P.S. I gave my prof's dog an extra milkbone, and now he's begging for still more. :meanie:

P.P.S. I don't remember if I told you, but she has four parrots too. It's like the freaking Amazon rain forest here. I was talking to the admissions office on the phone today, and the lady said, "Where ARE you???" :meanie: They squawk like crazy, and sometimes they speak, which freaks me out, because it makes me think someone is in the house. The phone rang, and one of them said, "Hello!" And when I left the room, one told me "goodbye." But the freakiest is when one of them called the dog's name and then said, "Bad dog!" :laugh: D*** bird sounds just like my prof when it called the dog. Uncanny how they can imitate people like that. 🙂

P.P.P.S. I am obviously not post whoring. This post could have been like ten posts at least. But I'd rather not have to keep waiting on the server, so....

:laugh: No. But amazingly, they hadn't known who I was on here. I guess they only read SDN sporadically, because I haven't tried to hide who I am at all. Anyone who knows me (or has read my app file) would figure out who I was immediately.
