VD, it will work out. Don't freak. I'm sorry.

You are too good...you will get in somewhere that you will love and that will love you back!

Will a mod please tell me why I can only see the fact that I am logged on...everyone else has a dark dot.

Guys - UTMB interviews went out for Aug 4th and I didn't get one. Why am I suddenly terrified? That's the Texas school I really wanted before MCAT scores came out and if I don't get into Baylor that's where I really want to go. 🙁
They will send out more interviews won't they???

B/c everyone else is "hidden status" I'm not hidden. You can go into "invisible mode" so people can't see if you are logged in or when the last time you logged in. I don't really have anything to hide so I don't use that feature.

you totally need to take meteorology. that'll confirm your status as SDN Weathergirl 😛

I don't know who's teaching our OChem. There was one guy who was supposed to be just awful, and he was originally slated to do it. However the university apparently terminated him as of May, and it's still listed as TBA on the fall schedule. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed.... I suppose worst-case scenario would be to drop it and take it in the Spring with the teacher who is supposed to be awesome, then take OChem II with lab next summer..
I know 😀

As for classes luckily I'm taking the prereqs at a community college - there is a bridge program with the 4 year university I'm now at. They have like 4 campuss in the area as well as different teachers so I look them up on ratemyprofessor.com and pick the good ones. 😀

VD - I know they will. IF not they missed one ofthe bestest applicants and the amish gang will have to go represent.

Thanks Mushy. 😍

Metr is such a great class. You're going to have a BLAST!!

PW - I'm taking GRE this fall 🙁 Yeah between all the rest of the crap I'm taking.

jlw - I think the hardest part is I don't really have an "advisor" to help me and it frustrates me. Esp after my advisor at my previous instutation (I was commuting to OSU in Stillwater this past year) told me I needed a strong plan B b/c most likely I would never get into med school.

What materials are you using to study? I think I am going to take it as well.

ok, i took the dogs out before the storm and now one of them was acting like she wanted to go out. I tried to cox her out but I don't have my umbrella. So I tried to tie a rain jacket on her, she didn't like that. 😡 I'm trying to help here. So I put them in the garage. if they need to go they'll go THERE unforunately.

mush- how encouraging for him to say that. 😡 that sucks.

if it helps, I don't have an advisor, either. my school's website doesn't list one anywhere. I found out through the bio advisor that one exists within the chem department, but she told me that he's an @ss, and then I met him and he confirmed that by his behavior.

I asked him if we have a committee, or how to go about getting LORs, and his only statement to me was "Well you need to do something to make yourself stand out." So I told him about my non-trad experiences, and that not many in my profession make this transition, so I thought that was pretty unique. His response? "No, I told you you need to make yourself stand OUT."

So I went to my undergrad pre-med advisor and said "hi! it's been 14 years! remember me?" And he didn't, but at least he was nicer. Kind of.

I heard Barron's was pretty good. I checked out the rating on Amazon and thye had the best. I checked out the vet and psych forums on here and mixed reviews about TPR and Kaplan. I am going to start with barron's as I pretty much know my weakness. Verbal. I might get one of those word booklets and kaplans verbal practice. I also have another book, I think put out by the people from the test. I'd have to check.

We can be study buddies 😀

Sounds good. I think I will head out to the bookstore tonight. I believe we are studying to the same end. 😉 I REALLY wish we didn't have this in common. But, I 😍 you anyway! 😛

But we have things in common that makes it easier to understand the frustrations the other might be going through 😉 We'll find a way to get in!!! 😀

dude, that sucks. 🙁 I wish pre-med advisors were more helpful. My "mentor" I guess you could call her is an assistant prof at the med school I want to go to and i'm doing research for her now. She may not have all the answers but she points me into the right direction on who to talk to. I've come to terms that I will have to apply to med school with a undergrad gpa of about a 3.0 and have to do something else to stand out. But it can be done (and I will do it) but at least give relevant advice. She was even giving out "faulty" advice which was confirmed by the med school to be false. I haven't spoken with her since and nor will I ever again. Except to maybe send a copy of my acceptance letter 😛

I have two - one is light grey with darker grey contrast stitching and one is a really expensive hand me down black suit with a more tailored longer jacked with one button and an interesting neckline. That's the one I look hot in; the one button makes my waist look smaller and my boobs look HUGE.

I looked super hot in my interview suit. (see myspace pic)

I am always trying to make my DDs look smaller. 😛
