thats because to write scripts you need a DEA #, mush. that sucker is federal. 😎

i wont have mine til god know when, is it after step 3 that you get it? i think so, at least in florida the residents arent allowed to sign scripts themselves without an attending until after step 3.

So now kids, what is on agenda for this weekend? I have cleaning and studying to do. This weekend is an easy weekend. As will next weekend.

Everyone will be away having fun while I'm stuck at home alone. Anyone want to come visit me? 😀

you only get the DEA number if you can perscribe the good stuff, right ? and how is it decided who gets the narcotics license (or whatever its called) and who doesn't?

I interviewed for an engineering co-op position at a medical device company based in Reading (Arrow Int.) Their big thing is catheters but they also do VADs and TAHs (or tried, i think the LionHeart went under clinical trials but was yanked due to costs)

I was very up front with them about me going to medical school and they totally respected that and most of them were very nice about it. They said that they might be able to get me a real position (so I can have benefits for a year) while still doing co-op type stuff, but who knows.

My guess, based on the F2 Bengal cats (F2 as in fillial 2, I learned this!!!) are $1k, $5k for a Serval...

In order to have one in FL, you need a Wildlife, Fish, and Game license, which takes 1,000 hours of working with wild cats to get. So if you like them, you can volutneer your time to working with them. This owner told me he had to have the cat sleep in his bed with him to bond better. FL requires an outdoor pen 12'x12'x6'.

If I ever was upfront about med school for my Economist, Analyst, or Accountant interviews, I'd be shown the door asap.

Pretty much anybody that prescribes anything needs a DEA #. We actually are REQUIRED to have a DEA # (as pathologists, ha).

Do you actually have to fill out a form to prescribe something for yourself or can you just walk up and demand some stuff? Can you even write one yourself?

but you are limited on "where you write scripts?" Just curious. I know you wouldn't just write it for someone *cough cough* but what does that have to do with calling it in across state lines? Or doesn't it? *confused*
